Police: Reed St home invasion and shooting victim may be connected

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are investigating a home invasion and possible shooting that happened just before 8 a.m., Wednesday on the 4000 block of Reed Street.
Police say that one of the homeowners was shot during the incident and was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a homeowner may have shot the suspect(s) before they fled.
And a short time later, a victim arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds and was stated to have life-threatening injuries.

Police say that right now they don’t believe the incidents may be related but cannot confirm until more evidence is collected.

FWPD officials are asking anyone who may have information regarding this incident to call 427-1201 or 436-STOP.

Police are asking that if anyone has video of this incident will reach out and share the footage.
