Fort Wayne Police investigate shooting, crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in Fort Wayne are looking for the victim of a shooting and crash that rattled a neighborhood on the city’s south side. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Pettit Avenue just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

Police say they have one person in custody after last night’s shooting, he’s the suspected shooter. But officers say they’re not sure who he was shooting at. Witnesses say the shooting came first, then there was a crash close to the Southgate Plaza. Investigators are not guessing at a motive in the case.

It remains under investigation.
